A little about who I am and why I love photography.
I'm a 4'11" "busy body" whose brain never shuts off.
I have two kids, two terriers, a fish and an extremely good looking husband.
Once a co-worker even asked me "How the heck did you get him?" It's just great to have friends isn't it?
In 1982, when my son was born, I started taking photos and never stopped. I still have photos of my kids as babies all over my walls and they are both in their late 20's. They are literally shown growing up in the photos I display in my home.
After years of point and shoot camera's I bought my first Nikon DSLR package. I was now a photo addict and drove my family insane with a camera in their face trying new techniques and learning more creative ways to show the essence of who they are.
My inspiration is all around me in the miracles we sometimes take for granted every day. What could be more rewarding than capturing someone's beauty, or dreams come true or a new life in one precious, fleeting moment in time?
I believe what I do is more than putting pictures on paper. It is making a connection, finding a soul. The portrait is the side effect.
I've always loved photography! The shear art of painting with light. As a graduate of the NY Institute of Photography I am still finding more educational resources. I have read books, taken classes and attended seminars from other nationally recognized photographers. As I said, my brain never shuts off! My poor good looking husband just rubs my forehead and says "shut it off, Cindy! Where is that switch." ha ha
I know you can hire any photographer so when you choose me to document your life's most important events I consider that a great honor. I am so thankful to have a gift that I can share with others by preserving their most precious lifetime memories.
